The “Challenge” is to complete each lap of the course in under an hour for the duration of your race. What feels relatively easy in the first hour or two might sting a bit by hour 5 or 8. There are three types of Challenge: 3 Hour Challenge: 3 laps, 1 per hour. 6 Hour Challenge: 6 laps, 1 per hour. 10 Hour Challenge: 10 laps, 1 per hour. ... and a Marathon: 5 laps, plus a 'baby lap of approximately 1/3 mile. 10-Hour Time limit. Each lap starts at the top of the hour. If you are able to finish a lap in under an hour, you may rest for the remainder of that hour prior to beginning the next lap at the top of the hour. To successfully complete a lap, the entire course must be covered in less than 1 hour. No competitor may begin a lap earlier than the top of the hour, regardless of when the previous lap was finished, so choose your strategy wisely. Only competitors completing their lap in under an hour are eligible to begin the next lap as official members of the “Challenge”. Those failing to run a sub-hour loop may continue to run and have mileage officially recorded, but are out of the Challenge. The 5.18 mile course is composed of grassy fields, dirt, rock, and root-covered single-track trail. This fast and runnable trail includes rolling hills and a creek crossing. Sat 05/04/2024 Angel Dash for DIPG 5K Run/Walk & 1-Mile Run/Walk Langhorne, PA (Core Creek Park, Pavilion 11) 9:30 a.m. Virtual Option Available. Become an Angel, Elle's Angels. Elle's Angels Foundation is excited to announce our 2nd Annual Angel Dash for DIPG 5K and 1-Mile Family Fun Walk/Run. All experiences are welcome, whether you prefer taking a leisurely 1-Mile walk along beautiful Lake Luxembourg or competing for first place in the 5K timed event. What is DIPG? Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma is a tumor located in the brain stem. It is mostly found in children ages 4-11. There is a less than 1% survivor rate and affects 200-400 children a year. The doctors don’t know what causes DIPG. Elle's Angels Foundation was started in November 2021 in honor of our 5 year old daughter, Elle, who passed from an inoperable brain tumor called DIPG. Elle was a kind, compassionate and resilient, little girl who inspired many throughout her journey. DIPG is an inoperable and incurable cancerous brain tumor located in the middle of the brain stem (called the Pons). The Pons is what controls your vital functions, such as heartbeat, breathing, swallowing, blood pressure; all the things that help keep us alive without ever thinking about it. It is a fast growing tumor that continues to spread itself around the Pons and will make the child slowly stop walking, talking, eating, drinking, and eventually, breathing. As a parent, you are forced to watch your child suffer and eventually die as the tumor starts to take their functionality away from them. What DIPG doesn’t take from them is their mind. It does not remove their cognitive ability and it is truly heartbreaking as they are fully aware of their decline, often until their last day. All proceeds will go to Elle’s Angels Foundation, whose mission is to fund essential research to discover effective treatments for pediatric brain cancer, with a focus on DIPG. To learn more about Elle's Angels Foundation, please visit us at www.ellesangelsfoundation.org

Hopecam can change that trajectory by virtually connecting kids with classmates, at no cost to schools or families. Hopecam helps kids feel more supported and less depressed through the power of connection. We need your help! It costs about $1,000 to connect each child. About 50% of the children live in homes unable to afford Internet, which Hopecam provides at a cost of $500 per year. 70% of the children attend schools eligible for Title 1 (low income) financing, and 50% cannot afford internet access, which Hopecam provides. Over the course of these years both Heather, her husband, Tripp, and their 2 children found themselves seeking alternative treatments for various health issues, but most notably for Tripp’s cancer. Tripp and Heather were blessed financially to be able to afford treatments and modalities that are not typically covered by insurance; however, they saw many people not be able to cover the cost of treatments, modalities, equipment, supplements, nutrition, stays in other cities or states to receive treatments, etc. With Tripp’s passing, Heather decided to start The Four Leaf Clover Project in honor of her husband and all those who did not receive the healing they had been praying for in hopes to provide support for those seeking alternative methods of obtaining, maintaining and sustaining holistic health and wellbeing. The Four Leaf Clover stands for goodness, luck, prosperity, and abundance and that is what The Project shares wherever it goes.

For everyone involved, this event is a show of dedication that regardless of politics, we all support our men and women in uniform and are so very grateful for what they do for us. Thank you so much for all the support over the last 16 years for our troops. The world is an ever-changing place but one thing is certain, our military stands firm and strong to protect us day in and day out. We need to continue to show them our support for their personal commitment and sacrifice. Freedom Steps continues to provide support and encouragement to our troops at home and abroad. Since we started this organization, we have shipped over 1,000 boxes to our deployed troops, and we want to continue this effort of supporting our troops. Funds raised by this event are used to purchase needed supplies and to support the shipment of these items to our deployed troops. No matter where our troops are stationed they need to be reminded that we care about them and are supportive of them. If you know anyone deployed, anywhere we would love to send them packages.
