Sign up now for the 39th running of the Anthem Richmond Marathon. Also available are the American Family Fitness Half-Marathon and the HCA Virginia 8k.
Haven’t run Richmond yet? What are you waiting for?! The Anthem Richmond Marathon has a scenic course that winds through the city’s most historic and beautiful neighborhoods and runs over and along the James River. We love to show off the river so much that we even moved our finish line and post-race party to the riverfront. We’ve earned our rep as “America’s Friendliest Marathon” (thanks Runner’s World!) because of features like our junk food stops and wet washcloth stations. But the perks don’t end there. As you run, you’ll encounter live bands, DJs, spirit groups and Party Zones that will help push you through to the finish. Then, after the race, you can kick back and relax on Brown’s Island and celebrate with hot pizza and cold BEER.
Race Day
  • 8k - 7 a.m.
  • Half Marathon - 7:30 a.m.
  • Marathon - 7:45 a.m.

  • Registration available Thursday 11/10 and Friday 11/11 at the expo
  • No Race Day Registration. Entry fees are non-refundable; race numbers and entries cannot be transferred to another person. No exceptions

Prizes also awarded to top 5 finishers in 5-year age groups. Age group award winners will receive their personalized awards in the mail. Every participant in the marathon, half marathon, and 8k receives an official long sleeve technical race shirt, a custom medal at the finish line (marathon and half marathon finishers also receive a fleece blanket!), and is admitted to a special post-race celebration with plenty of free food, drink, and lots of smiles and pats on the back.
