  • Before the 1500m, we held our annual meeting and elected our 2018 officers: Jay Jacob Wind, president; Kirk Gordon, vice-president; James Scarborough, vice-president, Roxane Sismanidis, vice-president; Bob Platt, secretary; and Bill Stahr, treasurer
  • Jeanette Novak brought bags of Christmas candies to share
  • Chad Merrill outkicked everyone in both the 1500m and 5000m, with Paige Poulos leading Cindy Cohen to be first and second among women in the 1500m
  • Bill Bernier (second in the 1500m) won the 3000m, with Cindy Cohen first among women
  • Jeanette Novak was in a class by herself, top woman in the 5000m

  • Next free monthly runs: Hains Point, East Potomac Park, Washington DC, at 12 noon:
  • Tidal Basin Run presents New Year's Eve Eve races on Saturday, December 30, with 1500m at 2:15 PM; and 3000m, 5000m, 8000m at 2:30 PM
  • $5.00 for Tidal Basin Run members, $10.00 for non-members -- bring a gift item to share, and no one will go home empty-handed!
  • Start and finish at Madison Community Center, 3829 North Stafford Street, Arlington VA. Registration opens at 2:00 PM
