The 419th running of this race was a memorial to the late Orville R. "Ray" Blue, who died in November. Ray attended and assisted at many Tidal Basin 3Ks and hundreds of other races. Walt Washburn brought a photo with himself, Bill Osburn, and Ray from the February 2001 run. In Ray's honor, most of us wore blue, and even the sky turned blue shortly after the race.
Ray Maker, attending his first Tidal Basin 3K, won overall, and Dionis Macy Gauvin again finished first among women.
