Conducted by Howard County Striders
Several of today's runners completed their 1st 10K ever, having just graduated from the G.I.R.L. (Getting Inspired to Run For Life) program. Mike Dusenbery won the 2M event after running the Baltimore half marathon the day before. Constantly showing great improvement, Christina Caravoulias claimed the win for the women in the 2M event. Laura Shoemaker took top honors in the 10K race. The top six runners in the 10K race held on to their respective positions for much of the race. Second place, Eric Bell, was closing the gap with overall winner, John Chall. Although narrowly defeated, Eric set a personal best by 3 minutes.
